Alberto creates typographical noise structures, imbued with underground culture and semi-random personal notes, to adorn extremely voluptuous muses with unforgettable personalities. Bodies molded by the male passion within the limits of perversion, that are reminiscent in both auto repair shop calendars, and on magazine covers that were marked by the 90s deconstructed graphic design, like Ray Gun, iD and The Face. Alberto Monteiro is an influential member of the generation of artists known as Mauditos, something like a network of experimental comics and zine makers in the 90`s, geographically dispersed in Brazil, connected mainly through mail. Some of the medias created to spread his visual narratives, texts and graphic compositions were the zines Novo Experimento, Anti Usual and HAUUZC. In Rio, he had briefly studied at the Parque Lage school and exhibited his paintings in alternative spaces, as Casa da Matriz and the Loud parties at Cinema Iris. His work was featured in museum exhibitions like Monstra Comix, in Fortaleza, and TRANSFER, in Porto Alegre and Sao Paulo.
